After a disappointing 2014 ISL season due to their “so close, yet so far” position when the Dynamos missed out on the semifinal spot by just a solitary point, they should only inspire them to push that little bit harder this season and taste play-off glory having missed it last year by such narrow margins.

In July 2015, the club signed Roberto Carlos as their marquee player-manager for the second season of the ISL. Robin Singh and Anas Edathodika were signed during the ISL Auctions on 10 July 2015 held in Mumbai. From the domestic draft players like Naoba Singh, Zodingliana Ralte, Gunashankar Vignesh, Sehnaj Singh, Ravi Kumar and Prabir Das were also picked.

Dynamos retained Anwar Ali, Robert Lalthlamuana, Shylo Malsawmtluanga, Gustavo dos Santos Marmentini, Francis Fernandes and Souvik Chakraborty for the 2015 season. North East United FC player Seminlen Doungel was also roped in by the Dynamos along with Subhasish Roy Chowdhury of Atlético de Kolkata. The ISL franchisee made headlines after some star-studded signings like Roberto Carlos, Florent Malouda and John Arne Riise among others. Dynamos played three preseason friendlies in the Scandinavian nation, and look forward to the second edition of the league.
